[Vuescan 8.0.11, Windows XP, Minolta Elite 5400, color slide]

Hello,

Is it possible to use Vuescan to scan a color slide into a
raw file, with Infrared data, and have later the opportunity
to actually "apply" that IR data and remove dust/scratches?

I don't want to remove dust when slide scanning, but later
when scanning with Input|Source File.

I've tried to scan the slide to a Raw file (without any Filter
checked) and then, when I scan from the Raw file I do not have
the possibility to check Filter|Infrared clean.

Even if I check Filter|Infrared clean at slide scan time, I
still can not Filter|Infrared clean at raw file scan time.

I always used Output|Raw Output with Scan (and not with Save).

Any help appreciated, thanks,

Alex

Yes, make sure you set "Input|Bits per pixel" to "64 bit RGBI".
This will ensure that the raw file contains the infrared data.

Ed, is inclusion of infrared data the sole reason for choosing 64 bit
output? If so, perhaps you could say this in the little yellow comment
box that comes up when you hold the mouse over a button. Perhaps it
already does, I'm not at my home pc, to check.
