Duplicate emails keep arriving in my inbox.

Outlook keeps receiving the same emails over and over again, although there
is only one copy on the server. This is only a recent problem, so I am not
sure why it has suddenly happened. I'm not an expert user of Outlook 2003, so
any easy to understand help would be much appreciated. Also the outlook icon
on the task bar keeps telling me that 'outlook is synchronising folders'.
Something very odd is going on with the send & receive :-( Hopefully somebody
will recognise this problem. Thanks.

Do you leave copies of messages on the server? Have you applied both Office
SP1 and SP2?

Yes we do leave copies on the server, but this has never been a problem
before. As for SP1 & SP2, I presume these have been applied since we have
automatic updates set up.
Suddenly the duplicate emails have stopped, it's as if this is just an
occasional problem - weird huh? Outlook is still forever telling me that it's
'sending message 1 of 5' and 'synchronising folders' though. I think it's
just gone crazy!

Ok, i followed the instructions from that 'how to delete' link and outlook no
longer seems to be constantly sending invisible emails. Hopefully the
duplicate email problem wont return - but we'll see!

Thanks for your help!

hello louise,
this happenes because of currupted e-mails in the server it genrates the
duplicate e-mail u need to move the e-mails in webmail to folder other than
inbox and then create a new profile hope u know hoe to create a new profile
start control panel mail doble click on mail and then click on show profile
add

after creating new profile see if it works or not if it works import the
data between old profile and new profile
