Dual Proc MB with 8x AGP?

I have an ABIT VP6, a good board and I really don't have a problem with it
other than the AGP slot is only 4x. Does anyone know of a motherboard still
marketed that handles dual PIIIs (I have 800mhz procs) and has a 8x AGP
slot?

I beg to differ.

The processors your board supports are significantly hampering the
performance of (anything requiring fast video), while there is very little
difference in performance between 4X-8X AGP rate, especially when
considering the system behind the card. Any 8X AGP card will work in a 4X
AGP slot so long as it's not some poor card design that uses in excess of
50W power but doesn't have the external power connector for a power supply
connector... you couldn't accidentally come across one, would be a card
specified for only AGP Pro slots like a Wildcat.

Now that i've gotten that bit of info out of the way, no, there's no 8X
AGP solution for a single PIII, let alone a dual PIII board. The chipset
yours uses, 694X, is what determines the AGP rate support, and it's the
best solution (for video) using dual PIII.
