Dual boot, dual drive, hardware not identified?

I recently installed a 2nd hard drive, and installed Windows XP on that 2nd.
(The 1st HD also has XP.) I got the dual-boot to work, but when I boot from
the 2nd, it seems none of my hardware is seen. For example: I cannot connet
to the internet (DSL). At first I thought it was because I had yet to
install the drivers on the 2nd boot HD, but when I used the DSL mdem
manufacturer's install CD, it could not find any NIC.

Does anyone know if there is a way for my 2nd boot HD to see all of the
hardware (and drivers?) that are on the 1st boot HD? I also note that the
sound card (on the mobo) is also not found, as I only get system beeps from
the mobo speaker.

I assume cloning will not do it, as that may interfere with the dual boot
capability.

I appreciate any suggesitns. This is frustrating :)

Your running 2 seperate installations of XP....XP2 cannot use the drivers
from XP1
You need to run the Mobo CD Drivers under XP2 in order for it to recognise
the NIC and other Hardware..like sound.
All of those drivers need to be installed under XP2 in order to work.

You have to install Windows XP drivers. Look at Device Manager for
devices lacking drivers.

You have to install the chipset drivers and the drivers for all the
hardware. It can't use the drivers that are in the other installation.
Treat it as if doing a clean install and the other installation doesn't
exist.
