Just wondering if anyone could enlighten me on the benefits of using the
Control Centre vrs the straight driver. I just picked up a 9600 from
someones upgrade and want to max out the card. I`ve been following the CC
vrs Catalyst debate but nothing is really said about the straight driver.
Thanks

I'm no expert. I do however use it:

Keyboard shortcuts to change resolution on "the fly" 60/75Hz (for PAL/NTSC
video playback) It's really just a clever way to have a myriad of tweaked
gfx-settings stored under an arbitrary configuration.

Check and set ATI's hardware de-interlacing: "adaptive", "motion-adaptive"
etc...

Perhaps possible to do this withough CCC, but I still find useful for my MCE
box.
