We have a strange problem that has been popping up for the
past week or so. We have several local laptop users
(running XP pro) that have mapped shares to our Win2000
file server. Several times a day they will lose all the
shares except for their home folder. Restarting fixes it,
but it happens for some users several times a day.
The other part is that their offline folders keep going
offline and reconnecting intermittently (that is their
home folder)...so the notification keeps popping up.
All the laptops have a wireless NIC in them (which has
been disabled)...so all traffic goes through the wired
NIC. Our desktop users are not getting the same problems.
I'm not sure if the problem is at the server or the
desktop level, so I'm going to post this in the Win2000
forums as well.
Thanks in advance for any help!
