Drop down menu in Word 2003

I created a Word 2003 document with a column that included a drop down menu
for each individual cell. After having to make some text updates on the top
of the form, I can no longer click on the cell and have the drop down menu
appear (so that I can make my selection and have it appear in the cell).
How may I correct this, i.e. bring back my drop down menu? (the menu had 17
items from which to choose from)
Please help!

The dropdowns you used were probably form fields, in which case you
need to protect the document to make them work. Click the lock icon on
the Forms toolbar.
