Driver Updates Grayed Out on Windows Update

(Cross-posted to Hardware) What can I do to have Windows
Update offer Driver Updates? Currently Windows Update
seems to ignore an inventory of my existing drivers,
because the Windows Update Web page shows "(0)" for both
Critical Updates and Service Packs and Windows XP if no
updates are available. However, Driver Updates is grayed
out and the "(0)" does not appear. Please let me know.
Thanks in advance

Jack, the driver update is greyed out because none are available for your
system from MS. You have to go to the
individual Device Manufacturer's websites and look for the updated WinXP
drivers if any.
