Windows Update not working

Jay

Hello, I think there's a problem on the Windows Update
web pages. Scanning for updates works fine. After the
scan is complete, there is a list of three categories of
updates that appears --

Critical Updates and Service Packs
Windows XP
Driver Updates

Clicking on any of these three merely reloads the welcome
page rather than taking me to the chosen page of
updates. Simply clicking on "Install Updates" in the
main part of the page works fine and installs the
critical updates, which is good, but there are still
several Windows XP updates that I cannot get to.

Anybody know if either I'm doing something wrong, or who
I should report this problem to?

Thanks.

Hi

I haven't see this before. I'll report this now and see if anyone else has had this problem.

Yep, that worked! The article instructed me to turn off
the "Discussions" toolbar, which I did. Not only does
the Auto Update feature now work, but Java works again
(which it mysteriously stopped doing, which was why I was
trying to update in the first place, heh).

Thanks very much for the help. What do I owe you? ;-)
