driver problems

Frequently when I attempt to sign on to AOL 9.0 my
computer crashes and then when I turn it back on I get a
message saying my computer had recovered from a serious
error. I send the error report to Microsoft and it says
that it was a device driver error and that I should try
updating my driver. As soon as I have almost completely
installed the update my computer acts like it no longer
has internet connection and the update is lost. And now,
when I try to install any windows xp updates at all, they
never fully get installed. What is going on with my
driver and how can I fix it?

I'm getting the same damn thing... disabled the shutdown
thing and now i get a blue screen that says
BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER instead... PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU CAN
HELP!

I've installed new drivers, switched pci slots, done
everything... i think its a microsoft windows update that
hasnt been released yet!

I had the same problem. Found out it was that I hooked the USB Mouse up
wrong. I had the noise supression filter from my speakers on the mouse
instead. switched it. and it went away. just in case that did not do the
trick i also installed Norton Firewall. ever knew how many hackers were
trying to download viruses before that was installed.
