Drive-C, space

I have the same problem as lewpopp down on 5/6/05. Every time I boot my
computer I lose 3 to 4 meg. of space without doing anything. I've lost over
a gig of space or more and running out. I tried the disk clean up as
suggested to lewpopp but me computer is pretty new and I could gain only 20
or 30 K. Any help really appreciated.

System Restore!
It uses space each boot.
If your happy with your config and don't ***ever*** want to rollback, turn
it off, then back on. This will release the space and leave it running.

Thank you Mark for taking time to respond to my problem, if I turn off System
Restore and back on will it continue to automatically set restore points
since it is back on. I like having the System Restore feature, if I can get
my space back and set my own restore points it will be great.

As mark said - it wil;l leave it running - meaning it will again begin
taking snapshots of your system, slowly filling your drive back up. If you
also go in and modify the amount of space it can use, that will help. You
can also use Disk Cleanup to erase all but the last snapshot taken with
System Restore.

(This ill erase any previous restore point you have.)

- Turn off System Restore.

- Reboot.
- Turn on System Restore.

- Make a Manual Restoration Point.
