Dragging of Windows/Inactive Windows.

I have a couple of strange behaviours which started some time ago.

1.When dragging a 'restored-down' window the movement is very jerky/wavy
(wavelike). If dragging fast, a 'tail' of the dragged window can be
observed.

Dragging 'restored-down' windows used to be smooth and 'sharp'.

2.The working window of my computer frequently becomes "inactive", this
happens for example during typing to spreadsheet, notepad, m/s word, or
entering
password etc.. Although pressing the keys on my keyboard the typing does not
appear on the screen. I have to mouse-click on to the window to make it
"active" again and to proceed with typing so the texy can be seen on the
screen/document. This phenomenon occurs in both Maximized and Restored-Down
Windows.

My computer terminology is limited, here is my explanation concerning
'inactive window': for examaple one is able type a text to a 'restored-down'
window, however if you click on to the computer screen outside the
'restored-down' window, the 'restored-down' window becomes 'inactive' i.e.
the rich-blue frame surrounding the 'restored-down' window changes (fades) to
greyish-blue. And if you mouse-click within the 'restored-down' window it
will become 'active' again.

I am a "safe hexer", and use frequently (religiosly) updated scanning tools:
Ad-Aware v106r1, a-squared v1.5.6, BitDefender 8, Ewido Security Suite v3.5,
Spybot S&D v1.4, SpywareDoctor v3.8, SUPERAntiSpyWare v3.1.0,
WindowsDefender (Beta2), and also have SpyWareBlaster v3.5.1 and HOSTS Secure
MVPS Hosts files. My Internet Zone is set according for additional security
according to http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm . I also use
1/4ly the Multi AV scanning tools in http://www.ik-cs.com/got-a-virus.htm . I
use ZoneAlarm FireWall (free version) and eTrust ezAntivirus v7.0.8.1.
Additionally, "Scotty" of WinPatrol v9.8.1.0 is always on patrol.

Grateful for any constructive advise to overcome these doings.

I would run HijackThis, just to cover all your possibles, you can send
me a copy of your log, if you want to.
Important: Create a specific folder on your hard drive called
HijackThis to keep its backups.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double
click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it
HijackThis. Download and unzip HijackThis.exe into this folder.

If possible run HJT in Normal mode ( not Safe ) with all your normal
startup's working.
