Hi,

from the description you provided, today is probably your lucky day :D

Pictures (binary digital images) usually have these extensions
*.jpg*,
*.png*, *.bmp*, *.tga*, *.tif*, *.tiff*

Pictures (vectorized images) usually have these extensions: *.svg*,
*.cmx*, *.emf*, *.wmf*, *.cdr*, *.cmx*, *.ai*, *.ps*, *.eps*

Executables usually have these extensions (after installation of the
Windows operating system, I took these from *PATHEXT* environment
variable, visible when you type *set* and press *enter key* from
*Command Prompt*): *.COM*, *.EXE*, *.BAT*, *.CMD*, *.VBS*, *.VBE*,
*.JS*, *.JSE*, *.WSF*, *.WSH*, *.MSC*

The extension you are mentioning is *.exe*, which means that it is an
binary file that can be executed on your computer. Usually, when yo
get
similar message that the file "-could not be saved, because the source
file could not be read-" it means that access to it was blocked b
some
kind of malware-protection you have installed on your machine, whic
is
good.

However, if you are completely sure (but how you can be? think about
identity theft issues) that the executable image is not lethal, ther
is
very tiny chance that this could be false-positive detection.

HTH,
VLaaD
thank you for your answer but i'm not quite sure what you mean. I can
download anything. I tried to download Firefox browser and i got tha
message, I tried to download Chrome and got the same message, picture
from email...same message....programs, software, itunes, etc...i ge
the same message.

I dont know much about computers and i dont really download a whole lo
so i'm not sure how long this has been a problem.

I appreciate your help but is there a way to fix it
