Downloading Excel 97/2000 Viewer

I am attempting to open an Excel spreadsheet sent to me
as an attachment to an e-mail. However, since I do not
have Excel on my computer, and the operating system on my
CPU is Windows XP, if I download Excel 97/2000 Viewer
will I be able to to open this spreadsheet? I ask
because on the Excel help page it does not mention
Windows XP as an acceptable operating system. Please
advise. Thanks

Hi Joann!

Excel Viewer works OK on my computer with files created in Excel
versions 97, 2000, 2002 and 2003 and I have Windows XP Professional.
