download only 1 or 2 email at a time

Hi all

I am using gmail for email account. vista on a dell laptop and windows mail
vers 6.

The problem i encounter for quite a while now is that when i download emails
it only receive one or two at a time. So every time i need to click on the
send and receive or wait untill it downloads on its own time... i tried
several conections and can not remember changing any settings.

Any error messages? Windows Mail can only download whatever messages
are currently waiting to be downloaded from the server, so are you sure the
download was only partial? Messages tend to arrive throughout the day,
so it makes sense to get only a few at a time.

That can happen if your connection to the server breaks. Then you have to repeat
Send\Receive to wake up the connection. Have you checked you connection status when
this happens. Post back with answer

Nope there is no error msgs..

I go online and check email web based. every now and then i will go to the
wi-fi connection and open windows mail to download the mail.

I used to do this for long now and never had problem. windows mail would
download my read and unread emails. but for the last few months now it does
not want to download it all at one. it make sense that it is something to do
with the server breaks. i tried several diffrent wi-fi spots and got the
same result every where. the msgs that i am doing bit by bit now is for the
past 10 days. even if i use a 3g broadband modem i get same result.

the connection status is perfect. the whole time as it would send/receive
every 5min on its own i am browsing the net. in the past i would open
windows mail and even with browsing it would check for new msgs and then say
there are 100 or odd and download the whole bunch. now it only says
downlowding 1 of 2 or so

Are you using anything to scan your in and outgoing emails. If you are then disable
this option in your Anti Virus and\or Security Program or both

Nope are not using anything to scan. my antivirus have expired as a matter
of fact two week ago and i am in the meenwhile browsing without...
