Download Cleanup

Several programs were downloaded into my computer without
my knowledge while surfing the internet. I have clean
out most of them but two .exe files located in start
menu/programs/startup are still in question. These files
are named PowerReg Scheduler v3.exe and PowerReg
Scheduler.exe, do I need these files?

How do I stop internet downloads without my
permission??????

Thanks for the help.....

i think i had the same problem before. try going to your regedit( registry editor) and clean up the software, that means, uninstall it. or you can either delete the .exe file thats carrying the installed software. but make sure to be careful.

Stay off of questionable sites. How do you know that they are questionable?
You learn by experience. In the beginning I had many of these also. Now I
stick to the mainstream sites. I also image my system frequently. If I
happen to hit one that puts crap on my computer, it only takes me a few
minutes to get back to where I was previously.
