PowerReg Scheduler.exe, REMOVE FAILED, 0x80508017

Selected Remove ACTION but Windows Defender(Beta2) will not remove. Any
suggestions on how to remove tths malicious spyware from my system. Other
websites caution against manual deletion.

File is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\PowerReg
Scheduler.exe

power reg scheduler has never been pick-up by other programs i have run
..defender allowed prog. and i have no pboblem!

Other references suggest that this is installed by several legitimate
vendors.

Where did you find a caution against manual deletion?

I think manual removal is probably quite appropriate--what about disabling
it via MSCONFIG?
