Double instances of Outlook launch

Gary

I have one machine which displays two instances of Outlook 2003 each time it
is launched. The user will click on the Outlook shortcut on the start menu
and two instances will appear on the desktop. When you close one, both will
close.

It appears that one will usually show the Outlook Today and the other one
the inbox.

Can anyone explain what is going on and how to eliminate the second
instance?

Thanks,
Gary

This user probably used the option to open a folder in a new window. Close
the one showing the in-box using the X. Then close the one showing Outlook
Today using the File->Exit and Logoff.
