Double-clicking in navigation pane does not jump to slide

I'm working on a bunch of presentations from somebody else, and I've run into
the problem that when I click on a slide in the navigation pane (I think that
it what it is called, the bar to the left where you can see either 'slides'
or 'outline'), I don't automatically jump to that slide in the main window.

Are these decks corrupted somehow, or is there a functionality to switch on
somewhere?

Out of interest, you haven't got swiff point installed on your machine?

I don't know what that would be -- the answer is probably "no"

It's an addin to help with flash. I know that caused a similar problem
getting from the slide sorter view to normal view.
