Double clicking drives opens search box, not the drive.

I have a XP home SP2 pc that somehow changed the default for the hard drive
and the dvd rom drive. It now opens a search box instead of opening the
drive in explorer. Any idea on how to reset the default back?

Thanks in advance,

Search opens after editing Drives or Directories

Type in Start Run

regsvr32 /i shell32

This occurs when you use the File Types dialog to edit Drives or
Directories. You need to type the above each time you use that dialog to
edit those two types.
