What is the best way to rename a w2k domain that is
in native mode?
Where can I get info about such procedure?
Is there a book about it?
Any help is greatly appreciatted

This cannot be done natively. This is actually one of the new features of a
Windows 2003 domain, there is a utility that you can use to rename a domain.
Typically a domain name rename can be avoided as the internal domain name
has very little to do with anything and most issues can use some sort of
workaround. You options really are to upgrade to Win2k3 or revert back to
NT4 and rename the domain in NT4 and then remigrate to Windows 2000. Either
way is sort of ugly. Maybe if you post some of the reasoning behind this
need to rename the domain we can add some more ideas. There may be 3rd party
tools but I don't know of any.

Nicolau as Scott says this can't be done at Windows 2000 Native, Domain
Functional Level as well Forest Functional Level have to be raised to
Windows Server 2003 mode, this means no Windows2000 Domain Controller can
exist within your forest. This may are an expensive process and also a
process with much planning.

My advice is to use ADMT and re-build the domain step-by-step. I answered at
another post from you with a link to download ADMT.

Is there a way to create the new domain step-by-step
by using the tool moveuser.exe to move the users from the
old domain to the new?

Nicolau,

Movetree does not work for an Interforest migration. As Chriss suggested in
both posts, take a look at Active Directory Migration Tool ( ADMT ) version
2. This could make things easier for you.
