HOUR and guess what? he cant fix it. Hasnt heard of any problems with mail,
and guess what? I tried my internet service( they were more helpful and they
actually went into the system and said everything was connected right and
they problem is with the system!) Now what. I even shut off the firewall,
email anti virus software, nothing....page is BLANK. MICROSOFT PLEASE STAND
BY YOUR PRODUCT AND GIVE ME SOME HELP!!!!

I'm don't work for Microsoft so don't yell at me about it.

When you had Microsoft online, did you yell at them?

lI'm not yelling at you about it. Why would I do that? Your not Microsoft,
I'm frustrated and no,I didnt yell at them, I patiently waited as they put me
on hold numerous times to see if they could figure out what was wrong, and
after an hour admitted they didnt. They dont know their own product and I
think its nice and all that there is a place to ask other users for help, but
really I think they should be more available to answer these questions, (All
the money I spent. This is not a toy to me.) I have tried everything that was
told to me to do and it doesnt work. I dont have all night to play this out
-I am now working from home and Best Buy shouldnt have sold this as a
Friendly first computer. And yes I called them too and they said they
admitted they dont know too much about the system they are seling. The
printer they sold me is not compatible(I even went to the HP site they told
me too) so I find this whole "Happy ,joy experience of buying a new computer"
a bust.
So sorry if you took offense, but I am not here to argue just get the darn
thing working. I blame Microsoft, if you are a volunteer, then they should
pay you, they get you to give free advice and dont stand by their product.
Thank you for your time.

Considering the amount of time you've spent on this BestBuy Beauty, have you
considered saving all the data you currently have on the computer to a CD or
flash drive then get out the recovery CDs?

When it's rebuilt, uninstall the McAfee or Norton's and get AVG or ClamWin
to install. I use NOD32 and so far, it's done great for me. Download them
first http://free.grisoft.com and have it ready to install before going
online.

I work on computers for a living and believe me, that puppy would have had
the recovery CDs out in a heartbeat if it were brought to me. Saves time,
saves money, saves headaches.

Over the past several years, I've gotten out the recovery CDs on more HP and
Compaq computers and when finished setting it up, they've yet to have
problems with them.

Or take the machine back to Best Buy and tell them you want your money back,
as they sold you a POS.

I was thinking over the counter but couldn't fit that. <G>

They've got them bundled up with so much crap, all of which has to run at
startup, its a wonder they work at all.

Yeah, I see computers that were bought way back when Win98 came out and
Quicken and the like are on them. People afraid to uninstall it.

Hi When I open up the emails at home, I then cant get them to appear when I
am at work on a different computer. How do I fix this

Please start your own new thread and explain your problem in detail. Do
not reply to someone else's thread that is three years old and no longer
on the Microsoft servers.

If both computers are checking the same email account, whichever
one completes its email download first will make those emails
unavailable to the second PC. To fix that problem, go to Tools,
Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Advanced,
select "Leave a copy of messages on server."

Repeat the above on the second computer.

Next time please start your own new thread.
Jumping into a thread started by someone else causes confusion.
