Just a note that I have resolved this issue, but I'm not sure if it's still a
bug or not?
In XP, when I access a computer on the network that requires a U&P, I put in
my local username (which is also added in accounts on the other machine) for
the first time, then it keeps it for every session.
In Vista, the resolution to it not keeping my username and password was that
I found the 'manage network passwords' area and this time I manually changed
it to point to the same username, but the one on the networked computer, and
it keeps it and all works fine.
I guess I must ask if I've been doing it all the improper way all this time
(in XP too) with putting the correct username but the local username? ie
client is named PRIMARY, other computer on network I'm accessing is named
SECONDARY, and I've been logging on to SECONDARY as PRIMARY\(username).
Obviously XP accepts it, but Vista not.
