Does SP2 support the VFW video capture format?

I've got the older Ivista webcam program that is based on the VFW
video capture format. The ivista people say that it won't work
with the new SP2 (SP2 upgrades apparently don't cause a problem,
just new installs thet are SP2 only). Would this be due to SP2
dropping the VFW capture format and only supporting WMD capture
format? I've got a couple of other webcam programs that are based
on the VFW capture format and am worried that they will also no
longer work if I install SP2 on my XP machine. If SP2 still works
with the VFW webcam programs, then installing SP2 might not be as
much of an issue. Thanks for any info of direct experience with
SP2 and VFW capture.

I have installed a tv card and installed the VFW drivers for it and it works
ok with
XP SP2

of course those drivers were made for windows 2000 so they were compatible
with XP. the problem is when you try to use drivers that are for windows
95/98
