Does SP2 Only Work For.....

For people who are really good at PC's? Should novices
not even install SP2? After seeing all these problems
with installing SP2. I installed SP1 with no problems at
all and I even see SP1 problems. I'm waiting on SP2
until the CD comes out, I'm on dailup. I'm sure the SP2
will work great for me.

Novices should install it. Most experts know how to secure their computers.
SP2 will help do that for the novices automatically.

Only partically true.

If Windows Xp came with you new computer, then YES.
If it is older and / or you updated from 98 or ME inplace.
Maybe not.

But even then, old things can be tweaked in many cases.
No pun intended. ;)

A fresh install though, will not only make it more
secure, it will operate better.

Assuming your disk is in good shape.

Nope, go for it.

A verey very few problems are seen. A vast majority have no problems.
Remember this NG distills all the problems while the zillions with no
problems never show up here.

Yes, do it.

Nope, do it anyway.
