docsys.exe

Lately XP has been running very slowly. Checked processes and found one
called docsys.exe that was taking 80% of CPU usage and sometime mem usage
tops 100 MB. When stop it, it immediately starts again. Lower priority,
then uses more memory. Searched all files (hidden and system as well as
registry) and could not find it though found a pathway in Realtime that
points to it in windows system filefolder. Searched internet and microsoft,
found nothing helpful. Can someone help me identify what this is and if not
needed how to get rid of it.

I would create a Restore point and then launch regedit (Start, Run, type
regedit and click OK). Press Ctrl-Home and click on My Computer. Press
Ctrl-F and type in docsys.exe and see what it finds. Each time it's
found, delete the entry. Press F3 to search again until the search is
complete.

Restart and see if it's still there.
