Do DVD-R/RW drives require "low level" drivers (with XP)

I just purchased a Pioneer DVR-106 (the OEM version of the A06). As expected
it came with no software. But it also had no mention of "drivers". The
Pioneer web site does not either, though they have a "firmware" update. I
had intended to use Nero 6, under Win XP. Does any know if "drivers" of the
low level kind, are still needed to control the device? Or do Nero and XP
supply all that's needed?

Thanks much for any help!

As long as you can see the drive in My Computer, you've got most of it
covered. For burning, the software will take care of whatever support it
needs. If your software recognizes the drive, you should be fine.
