I'm going to assume this is Event ID# 5781. We've seen this occur with one
of two things:
1. Single Label Name
2 AD Integrated zones
3. Or both

Can you please post:

1. An unedited ipconfig /all from this machine
2. Your AD DNS Domain name (as it shows up in ADUC).

This will better help us diagnose it.

Hi Tison,
Please give us more detials. What role does the system play. Is it a
Domain Controller, Member Server, standalone server or PC\Home computer.
Is the system in a W2K Domain?

The reason for the event ID is that it is unable to registery Dynamic
Update with a Dynamic DNS server. If the server is not in a Windows 2000
domain then it can be safely ignored.

Thank you,
