I want to configure aging and scavenging for my DNS zone. All my computers
are Windows 2000 or XP and can update their records, butt i have A records in
my DNS that point to clients that cannon update their records. For instance
we putt A records for routers and switches beaucouse we need DNS resolution
with one program that we use for monitoring. My question is when i turn aging
and scavenging i will loose DNS entries for that records after some
time, right? What is the best solution for my situation?

You will unless you go into DNS and clear the "Delete this record if it
becomes stale" check box.

Manually created A records will not be scavenged by default. Be sure and
read the section on Aging and Scavenging in the DNS whitepaper before
turning this feature on:
