DNS Deleted Entires

I have inherited this domain from a wanna be System Admin

And I know that someone deleted entries in the DNS of the
Primary DC

We have 2 DC
1 DC holds all the FSMO roles
Both have DNS
Both are GDC

Can i reinstall DNS on the DC?

Ideas??

If Dynamic registrations are allowed and registration of the records has not
been disabled restarting the Netlogon servive and running ipconfig
/registerdns on the DC will recreate all necessary records.
What records are missing?

Use Outlook Express?... Get OE_Quotefix:
It will strip signature out and more

MX was missing and I added it... and when I compared it to
another domain it looked like quite a bit was missing as
far as AD folders however when I look at it today it looks
normal.

My biggest about 50% of the users at anytime of the day
cannot find this DC, even when the DC is idle. Contantly
getting Event ID 10006 Class not registered errors.

Are the clients using the DC's address for DNS only?
