Recently, my PC crashed. I re-installed "Windows XP Pro.". After restoring my
backup file. I find out that a third party software, which works properly
before PC crashed, does not be executed. I use a feature in "Windows XP Pro"
CD to check OS system. It shows that a .dll file does not work. Could you
tell me how to maintain this OS system?
Thank you.

What does the technical support for "a third party software" say about
"a .dll file" that "does not work"?

You must note that unless you do a complete hard drive image backup,
you can not normally restore Windows programs / applications. These
have settings installed in the standard Windows folder and the central
registry when they are installed. When you restore these, the install
process is not normally re-done.
