Dll file vanished - game over?

I posted before about a problem I'm having - Excel won't
start up, instead I get a message "a required dll file,
mso97.dll, was not found". Have searched using Win
Explorer and Start/Find file and can't find this file on
my PC. God alone knows what's happened to it. Is there
anything I can do to get it back? Or do I need to
reinstall office?
