dll errors

I keep getting DLL errors whenver I click on an icon in my Control Panel. On
top of that there's all the crashing; crashing Internet Explorer, crashing
when I try to get into the Windows Management, crashing when I click My
Computer on the desktop, crashing when I click on my Cable modem program,
pretty much everything.

I used three different virus/spyware removal(trend -MIcro, my default virus
protection, Spyware Remover by Webroot, Ad-Ware) I used a Registry Mechanic
and nothing has worked.

Can anything be done about tnis or do I have to reinstall XP (SP2) ?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Event viewer certainly will list some warnings/events,chk for
details.Otherwise
install xp cd,exit the menu page,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow
When its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree,type:EXIT Remove cd,restart pc
