Distribution List

Hi,

We have Outlook 2002. I received an e-mail message today with an
attachment. The attachment was a distribution list from the sender's address
book.

When I double-clicked the attachment, the actual Outlook screen listing the
members of the group, along with the menu bar and selection tabs, came up. I
have never seen this before.

How did the sender include an Outlook distribution list as an attachment?
And how do I use the attachment to send to the recipient list? I couldn't
figure out if there was a way to start a new e-mail message from the screen I
got when I double-clicked the attachment.

Hope I explained this clearly enough . . .

Thanks,

DL's function this way when the sender has inserted it as an Outlook Item in
a message in RTF format.
You need only click on save. It will then reside in your own Contacts Folder
and can then be used.
You cannot send to a DL from the DL dialog box.

Hi Russ,

Thanks -- I see how it works. Sorry to be so literal, but to save the
attachment -- I double-click on it to open the DL dialog box. Then, do I
click on the Save and Close button? Or do I select File - Save? I tried
both, and I still don't see it appearing in my contacts list.

Thanks!

Save and close should work.
