Display Settings

Every time I restart my computer my dispay settings change to color quality
low (8 bit). When I change the settings to highest 32 bit the changes
will take effect but as soon as I restart my pc the settings are lost.

Click the Settings tab again and select 32 bit. Then click Apply and OK, to
set and save settings. If you only click OK it will not save the settings.

I have the same problem as Michael, and I have done the exact steps you
stated and it still changes. ?????

I even installed the correct and most current driver from Gateway for windows
Xp Pro still came with the same results.

Michael, if you've installed the latest drivers for your specific
machine and are still having problems, there may be a hardware problem
with your video card. Swap it out for a known-working one (after
uninstalling the questionable one). If you don't have an extra video
card lying around and/or are uncomfortable opening your computer, take
the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local
equivalent of BigStoreUSA).
