Display Problems

Sam

I've read other posts regarding similar problems, but
haven't seen any solution.

Since downloading and installing SP2 my display keeps
changing - pixels and viewing area. Is there a known
flaw with SP2?

If no one has a solution, is there a way to remove SP2 ?

Thanks

Hi:
I installed winxp sp2 , my graphics are the same, you may need to update
your graphics driver,,is it the latest ?

Your video adapter drivers probably need to be reinstalled.
Visit the support web site of the manufacturer of your video
card adapter and download the latest drivers.

Before installing them, uninstall the old drivers. In your
Control Panel, open the Add or Remove Programs applet
and look for your video drivers to uninstall.

If you happen to have a notebook computer, visit the notebook
manufacturer's support website to download the correct video
adapter drivers for your specific notebook model.

After installing a fresh set of drivers, right-click on your
desktop and select Properties > Settings, change the Color
Quality to "Highest (32 bit), then adjust your Screen Resolution
to your liking, then click on Apply.

Graphics drivers are current. Virus scan, ad aware and
spybot search and destroy have all been updated and run.

my color settings only have 2 , 16 and 24 bit,my graphics controller is ok
according to when I checked it, but it will not adjust to 32 bit. Is this a
problem for me, I have a vaio laptop, flat screen, running xp home edition,
sp2.When I tried a 3d screen saver it works ,but I cannot see much depth, so
I checked and they ,sony says ai am up to date according to the external
moniter I have. Are they correct? The date on the Intel driver 82815 is
6/8/01,very confusing.

Not really. Both 24 and 32 actually use 24 bits (8 per color), and the
32 is for some (many) controllers that find it more efficient to use a
32 bit word in accessing its RAM
