diskette drive 0 seek failure

I have xp home with sp2 and get a diskette drive 0 seek failure when i boot

This is a message from the system, not from Windows and occurs so early in
the boot process that Windows is not even loaded yet. It can mean that the
floppy drive has failed or its connection is incorrect (loose or not hooked
up correctly).

On my system, I purposefully have no floppy drive connected, so turn off
the setting in BIOS that checks for its physical presence. By doing so, I
avoid seeing that message.
