Problem Description: My disk defragmenter quit working after I did a disk scan.
I get an error message that says: MMC could not create the snap-in. CLSID:
{43668E21-11D1-AICE-0080C88593A5}
Is there a fix for this? I have no disk to reformat with.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

go to http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/download and download
Auslogics Defrag. Free and works much better than anything MS has to offer

I've got three of them, including Auslogics and Defraggler, and it seems
each has its own advantages. For example, for defragging the drive storing
my large backup images, I use Auslogics, because (only) it is quite fast
there (i.e.: doesn't take a half hour or more). But it is woefully
inadequate in some other cases (like it's superficial defragging of some of
my FAT32 partitions). So I use the MS one for that, or Defraggler (if I
want an even more thorough defrag).

Got any stats to back that up with, old boy? Or are you merely
expressing a personal preference because the Auslogic product has all
those cute little squares you like to watch?

Got any stats to say it isn't any better?? Or are you just another Troll who
likes to let his mouth overload his rearend??

Just as I thought: you expressed a personal preference without stats.

Only time I've seen a similar message is with an older version of Diskeeper
on XP SP2 and higher. The message was more inline with mmc snapin could not
start. Diskeeper worked irregardless. Which brings the question if you are
actually running disk defragmenter that comes with XP or some other 3rd
party version.
