Disk Cleanup .......

Help..... Control Panal/ Performance and Maintainence/
Free Up Space on Hard Disc/...
When "disc cleanup" is running, after about 3 mins ... it
hangs ??? Message says "Scanning: Compressing OLD files"
and everything stops ??? I'm lost ... This is suppose to
get rid of unwanted files
Any thoughts out there ?????

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Volume
Caches

Locate the Compress Old Files subkey, right click on it and select Export.
This creates a backup, just in case you need it. Then right click it again
and select Delete. This option will be gone from Disk Cleanup.
