disc depragmenter

I am trying to do a defrag of my drive and 75% through the prelim I get the
message Scan canceled because an error occured in file C:\documents &
settings|gateway
user\localsettings\temporaryinternetles\contact.IES\R61VPJT\SS1_scene5_0[1].jpg
How do I continue?

1. Run Check Disk :
Click Start > Run
Type "chkdsk /f" (WIthout quotes)
Type Y if it asks and Hit Enter
Reboot your PC to let it run

2. Delete Temp Files :
Control Panel > Internet Options
Delete Files
Follow prompts

3. Try to defrag.

Try deleting all temp files, then run defrag in safe mode, if no
luck boot off your XP CD to the repair console and run chkdsk /r
