Disappearing Toolbars in Word when using IE

When cutting and pasting a bunch between IE and Word, Word seems to decide that I'm not really wanting to edit the document as a regular Word doc. any more and closes my Standard and Formatting toolbars (and any others I have open) and replaces this w/ the Web toolbar. Is there a toggle command somewhere to turn this lovely "feature" off? I want to keep my usual toolbars showing. Thanks. :)

Hi DianeR

What you're seeing is not actually Word; it's a Word plug-in for Internet
Explorer. So your Word document is opening up "within" IE.

To prevent this, on the desktop, go to My Computer. Tools > Folder Options.
On the File Types tab, find the DOC file type. Click Advanced, and un-tick
"Browse in same window". These instructions are for Windows XP. Older
versions of Windows may have slightly different dialog or menu layouts.

Hope this helps.
