Disappearing Quick Launch Bar

When I restart my computer, the Quick Launch Bar disappears. I can
reactivate it, but it forgets again as soon as I reboot. Does anyone know
how to make it permanent? I know this was a common problem in XP, but I
haven't seen a solution that doesn't involve the registry, which I'm
reluctant to try in a different OS.

I'm using Vista Home Premium on a Compaq F572US laptop.

Hi JimmyC,

The solution in XP was to create the QuickLaunch folder. I do not know if
the same applies to Vista, but it's possible that it could. Check that this
folder exists, and if not create it:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
