Hi
I cant disable the firewall from the control panel! The pushbutton is grayed
out and is not selectable and locked! I suppose that it may have with the
Group Policy to do - but which one ? Grateful for any hints.
Group Policy on local or on Domain Controller?

On DC do the following:

Administrative Templates/Network/Network Connections/Windows Firewall/Domain
Profileshow

Disable the "Protect all network connections" setting.

The pushbutton is still disabled and Window firewall is still active. I want
to enable/disbale by pushing the button in Control panel/Windows Firewall.
I am joined to the administrative group with administrative rights!
I have logged off / on.

You can explore in gpedit.msc locally, but if you are connected to a
domain I suspect this is a result of something done by the domain
administrator to restrict what people on individual machines can do, and
you should talk to him
