Disabling The Fax

I have a fax/scanner/copier and am running xp home. I would like to disable
the fax program but not lose it forever...In another thread it said to go to
the control panel, then administrative tools etc....I don't see an
"administrative tools".The Fax is shown right beneath the control panel.
Should I just right click on the fax and choose delete this printer from the
left side panel of options?
Thanx

You are asking about third party software in a Microsoft group. Suggest you
find a group that supports your product or contact its manufacturer.

Guess I should have mentioned that it is infact the Windows Fax program that
I want to temporarily disable.

That's not what you asked. You said "I have a fax/scanner/copier."
Which is it?
Why don't you just stop the Fax Service in Administrative Tools > Component
Services?

Gee Whiz Russ..give a girl a break! ;-)
It is a Dell 924 all in one. My original question was that I couldn't
(didn't know how to) get to administrative tools so I could disable the
fax.Can you lead me there?
Thanx
