Hi mickyfinn,

If you are on XP then a uninstall is the best way i think, i install
uninstall WD regular also for testing without any problems.

Hello mickyfinn,

In addition to what Tom E. and Dave M. mentioned:

It is this what you want?

Start/Run
Type "services.msc"
Click "OK"

On XP pro the services control panel is in
performance-maintenance/admin tools/services

On XP home, you can RC the taskbar and choose advanced
taskbar & start menu properties, scrolling in the list of
tweaks you'll find how to display the administrative tools (
I used top of start menu only) then from there you can open
any amin tool required. Also you should hide them again as
soon as you are done.
