Different versions of Access/Office

Larry

I just bought a new home PC. As an Access developer, I
want to have different versions of Access installed on my
PC (Access '97, 2002, and 2003). Can this be done safely?

Also, if I have Office 2003 Professional installed (with
Access 2003), can I also run Access 2002 and/or '97?
Would I install these earlier versions individually or as
part of Office XP or 2002?

Thanks!

Thank you, Luiz.

Can I assume that this applies whether I want to install
different versions of Microsoft Office as well as if I
install multiple versions of just individual Access or
Word or Excel?

Hi Larry,

you can install multiple versions. Remember that you must use different
folders, so you'd better not accept the default folder "Program
Files/Microsoft Office", but to name them in a way you can easily
distinguish later (eg., "Program Files/Microsoft Office 97", "Program
Files/Microsoft Office XP", etc.).

Well, it's a long time since I've seen an individual Access CD, but it's
probably the same.

Here in my PC I have Access 97 + Access 2k + Office XP + Office 2003, and it
works fine. Access 97 and Access 2k are from Office CDs, but I installed
only MS-Access.
