Did "Add Remove Programs" repair the updates as well?

I did a "Add Remove Programs" Repair on:

Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1

The I closed and reopened
"Add Remove Programs"
to be sure its data was current.

I still see the line
Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1
I wonder about the SP1 being there.

It is still followed by The two Hotfix and one Update lines it had before.
Were the updates included in the repair.

I mean am I now at the point after I just installed the
Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5

Or after I installed the updates?
Did it repair the updates as well?

Thanks

there is a freeware
to clean up frameworks:

http://tinyurl.com/c534rh

I've used it and its ok.

----------------

regarding having additional
frameworks:

some older software may
be hard coded to rely on
them.

but they are free and can
be reinstalled from microsoft.

----------------

in the meantime, nothing
wrong with cleaning up
the frameworks.

incdidentlay, when you
go to the page at the
link I provided,

DON'T FALL FOR THE
BIG GREEN BUTTON.

instead look carefully
on the right side for
the correct link to the
framework cleaner.

Start by telling us why you "repaired" Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 SP1?

It doesn't relate to the question:

After I installed the updates?
Did it repair the updates as well?

Do you know if it did?

But its no secret
I was looking for the file: aspnet_regsql.exe
It may be that that file is only in a previous version of Framework.
I later found it in v2.

Thanks I'll look at that and avoid the green button.
But do you know

After I installed the updates?
Did it repair the updates as well?

Thanks again

I'm not sure how
to check the state
of the frameworks.

usually, if there is a
call for a "framework"
function by a program,

a message will pop up
advising of a program
error involving framework.

so if no error message
pop's up by the program
that needs a certain version
of framework "and"

your programs are not
stalling and crashing,

then maybe this is all
the microsoft expects
us to know about the
state of the framework.

about that link I gave
you.

after you run it, you
may want to initiate
a windows update
and see what the
microsoft servers
produce.

if you short on frameworks,
the update will provide
them to you.
