Dialogue Box Pop-up

Sometimes [not always]when I click on a desk top icon for
a program [even the trash icon] a dialogue box will pop
up telling me it can't find a disk in drive 'A'. When I
mouse click an icon, my WinXP pro seems to serch for
the 'exe' file for that program using my floppy 'A'
drive. I have to press cancel on the dialogue box 2 or 3
times before the box disappears and the item loads.
I've tryed changing the BIOS -- no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
