Dial-on-demand routing on XP SP2 machine?

Hello,

I want to make Windows XP Proff. working as a a "network router" doing "dial
on demand" over his ISDN or analog modem interface.
Is thiss possible?

I support a network of remote locations with 1 W2000 Server RRAS on each
site and 1 server in the central office (with a lot of ISDN adapters).
I have set it up similar as stated in Microsoft Knowledge Base (using static
routes)

All sites connect to CO over "dial on demand" with routing in both
directions.

Now I have to implement Windows XP on one of the remote locations and I just
cannot do anything on XP except creating "Incoming connections" (dial-in)
succesfully. Also "dial up" in opposite direction works.
But absolutely no routing can be done (even though I know about
"IPEnablerouter" key in registry).
Neither can I initiate simple "dial on demand" with ping from XP machine to
W2000 server in Central office.
As the matter of fact, I have found an article somewhere explaining how to
initiate dialing by starting Internet Explorer under XP.
But how to initiate by usual "ping"?

From central office I can easily establish the dial on demand connection to
remote XP (initiated by "ping" from any central office machine to the
specific remote LAN subnet), but "ping" has "request timed out" from remote
XP.
I have checked "Windows firewall" to see if it makes the problem, but it was
ever off.

ICS also cannot help me.

Is there a way to configure XP to work as a network (dial on demand) router?

Regards to all,

No. XP is a client OS and does not support RRAS. Only the server OS
versions do.
