DHCP for Member

Chris

Hi

I'm adding a new member Domain Controller (Win 2000
server) for an existing one (win 2000 server) do I have
to give it an IP or let the new member choose an IP from
the DHCP server?

Thanks

Chris its up to you, a member server can have a dynamic ip. But I recommend
you to set a static on all servers.

hello chris ,
The server will pick up the address from the DHCP once you connect it on the network .
But this being a member server its recommended to use a static ip .
